A meeting on the law and tobacco control in Europe will take place in UN City, Copenhagen on 1–2 November. This meeting is organized in close collaboration between WHO/Europe and the Norwegian Cancer Society, and involves various governments and leading nongovernmental organizations in Europe. Last year, the topic of the meeting was the plain packaging of tobacco products, while this year broader legal issues related to tobacco control at domestic, European Union and international levels will be discussed.
