Three rare Ellis Gold Rush tobacco wrappers produced in the 1840s by R Ellis Grocer, Tea Dealer and Tobacconist in Hastings in the UK, will be put up for auction by Somerset-based London Cigarette Card Company on October 29th. The three wrappers, which depict the California Gold Rush (1848-1855), are expected to fetch £100 (US$ 160) per piece.
