The Food and Drug Administration announced that a meeting of the Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee will be held on August 16th from 8:30 am to 3 pm at Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel in Silver Spring, Maryland, where the advisory committee will "discuss possible approaches for evaluating information on the risks and potential benefits of a proposed modified risk tobacco product (MRTP) to the population as a whole."
