The African regional meeting of the International Tobacco Growers' Association (ITGA), which began June 5th in Harare, Zimbabwe, are expected to discuss, among other issues, strategies to: counter national and international campaigns to curb tobacco cultivation, improve networking of tobacco growers worldwide, stabilize leaf supply and prices, and publicize the socio-economic importance of tobacco.
