World Alert
Published Weekly (16-20 pages)
A country-by-country compilation of key industry issues and events as
they emerge outside the United States written in a more detailed fashion
by expert TMA staff. The World Alert tracks corporate finance including
mergers and acquisitions, tax issues including smuggling and excise taxes,
sales, marketing & distribution issues, product standards and ingredient
issues, leaf & trade, anti-tobacco campaigns, smoking restrictions,
lawsuits and other legal issues.

During the US tobacco marketing season (July-April)
Furnishes tobacco auction market statistics for all leaf tobacco types
broken down between leaf sold under contract and leaf sold at auction.
The Leaf Bulletin includes Stabilization inventories and provides a brief
legislative and regulatory run-down on matters impacting the leaf sector.
Covers the markets in the U.S., Canada, Zimbabwe, Malawi and selected
other nations. |

Daily Leaf Bulletin
Published Daily, May-December (1 page)
Provides daily market statistics of foreign leaf markets, particularly
the Zimbabwe flue-cured market. |

US Tobacco Barometer (Cigarettes, Cigars, Smoking Tobacco, Chewing Tobacco
and Snuff)
Published Monthly (8 pages)
The US Tobacco Barometer (CCS) is an industry guide to manufactured production,
taxable removals, and tax-exempt removals for all cigarettes, large cigars,
little cigars, snuff, chewing and pipe tobacco manufactured in the United
States as reported by the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. |

US Tobacco Barometer (Smoking, Chewing, & Snuff)

The US Tobacco Barometer (SCS) is an industry guide to production, invoiced
US sales, imports, and exports for chewing tobacco, snuff, and forms of
smoking tobacco, including roll-your-own tobacco, manufactured and sold
in the United States. Data is provided voluntarily by manufacturers to
the US Department of Agriculture. |

Published Monthly (8-16 pages per part)
A six-part publication detailing all US imports and exports of all tobacco
leaf, products, and sundries. The US Tobacco Trade Barometer breaks down
the data by product and country providing quantities and dollar values
on a monthly and cumulative basis comparing current data to the previous

Analyzes and reports on all US Congressional and State legislative activity
that affects all sectors of the tobacco industry. The Legislative Bulletin
summarizes key provisions of these bills and tracks bill progress through

Opposition enabling Companies to respond to another company’s request
for a given trademark within the 30 day period available.

Semi-annual review of the principal issues facing the tobacco industry
in the US. The Issues Monitor summarizes all principal economic, legislative,
regulatory, and trade developments. |

Various
On an ad hoc basis, TMA publishes Special Reports focusing on economic
issues requiring more detailed analysis. Such subject matter is a function
of new legislative and regulatory developments, new economic issues, or
a combination of both. Among recent examples are the following: China's
